Would it benefit a presidential candidate to go ahead a pick a VP running mate during the primaries? What if 2 guys decided to team up early, say a Walker / Rubio or Rubio / Cruz. It would obviously require 1 man to pull out of the race but I think it could have benefits. 2 out on the campaign trail communicating the same message and helping with fundraising. I know it couldn't be "official" until the convention but I would think if they won it would only be a formality. I wonder if Biden and Warren might try something along these lines for the DEMS. It would sink Hilary's boat.

Seems like a good idea IMO. Sometimes it's kind of disappointing when the nominee finally announces his VP pick
and it's not somebody you would like to be on the ticket.

Always thought that Dick Chaney really screwed Bush when he nominated himself to be VP after heading a search committee
for a VP candidate and then telling Bush that he couldn't find anybody so he guessed he'd have to do it himself. He never helped
Bush and all but really hurt him at times.

Personally, I wish they'd just all run as independents, forget the parties and kowtowing to them and their platforms. Quit making stuff up to "satsify your base." Stand there, say what you're for or against without the pressure of pleasing this group within your party or that group within your party the next day.
