Neosporin will often clear it up on it's on. Just apply a bit at the inside edge. with a clean finger apply about the width of a pencil, pull down the inside corner and wipe it into the little pocket. Use the regular ointment, not lotion. I wouldn't be surprised if it's somewhat better in the morning if You apply it soon. This isn't harebrained, it's a long time remedy.

I was told by an eye doctor there isn't much you can do..it just has to run its course. The challenge is not to GT it in both eyes..highly contagious and it's hard for the part not to get it as well.
