Whatever she was paid for her services, it didn’t come from the $2b.

The GOP has already passed their budget bill. It’s not balanced. The ten year budget includes $2.5t in projected spending cuts and $4.5t in tax cuts. OMB projects it will add something between $2t and $2.5t to the deficit.

DOGE would feel like more than window dressing if the GOP even tried to balance the budget, but they aren’t.
