It seems to me that many here look with more fondness on our 23 season than our 24 season because we just seemed to be a better team statistically. We won all our regular season games and then got beat when our two best offensive players got hurt and our best OL and were cheated out of our 3 peat opportunity. Maybe its because we ended the season with a character test over FSU where they failed the character test and we proved to the college football world that our culture was why we win with the frequency that we do. However the 23 season yielded no championships unless you count winning the east which we dont count anymore.

In 24 we had a roller coaster of ups and downs, we seemingly just weren't quite as good on either side of the ball yet we kept winning a lot we beat all of our regular rivals. We had amazing triumphs in the most unlikely and stressful and unfair of situations (at Texas) and unfortunate losses at Bama and Ole Miss. We still managed to overcome even more adversity to beat Tech at home and keep the longest home winning streak in sec history alive and the longest in college football right now. We then beat a top team twice in the same season after losing our starting qb to win the SEC. In this Championship year, we had the toughest schedule in SEC history, UGA history and possibly NCAA history when the SEC is the biggest and deepest that it has ever been. Somehow though because we weren't quite as good as 23, the 24 season and its championship which has been tough for Kirby to get was seemingly not really appreciated and the program is suddenly not in a good place.

Im not blind to our issues and I know we are young going into the 25 season but I am still thankful for 24 and hopeful for 25. The 24 season reminded me of some of the emotions that we rode when we were on the ascent into college football greatness, it invoked more emotion than I had felt in a long time and yes it was exhausting but it was still special.

Here's to being thankful for 24 and hoping we start whipping teams in 25 so we can all live longer lol.
