Media outlets and message board parrots continue misquoting and partial quoting what Trump says and has said. You would think at some point a clarification would be reported and acknowledged. But that's not who we are. We prefer the worst possible angle or snippet on all news and stories. We love chaos and carnage reduced to bumper sticker length. Law and order bore us.

God knows much of what he says is bad enough, but two of the statements most often attributed to him are incomplete and out of context. His remarks about illegal. Immigration from Mexico was part of his slamming of the Mexican government's hand in laughably poor monitoring and management of their own border with the U.S. His remarks about criminals and drug dealers and rapists was not to insult Mexican or Latin people, but to challenge their country's government(s) for sending their undesirable element along with honest, hard working people looking to better themselves and their families. He said "they're SENDING" criminals, drug dealers and rapists" along with "good people."

His quote about Muslim immigrants or refugees was about the critical need for our doing a better job of vetting incoming aliens. He said to stop all Muslims coming in, UNTIL we can get a better handle on vetting, which is very obviously and seriously lacking in our current mode of identifying, tracking, and monitoring of all of our new residents.

He does enough on his own. Why not quote him and any other politician accurately and completely?
