The Bible is used by the liberal mindset as a source of permission of earthly desires and wants.

The problem with that is that the Bible was written from a point of implied submission to God, not acknowledgements of boundaries of man’s desires.

The sin of man will seek, in all realms of life, from a relationship with God, to the laws of the land in which they live, ways to extend to and beyond the legal boundaries.

The big miss of point, the greatest misconception of God’s Word, is that it is written as a rule book for man’s life. It’s not. It’s written on the assumption that man must, as the created, seek God first, in all things, and how sin separates us from God.

We were created to honor and worship God. We weren’t created for earthly pleasure. Though it can go hand in hand through obedience to God and the confidence of salvation, provided by Christ.

Permission vs submission. We are called to submit humbly to God.

That is a follow up to an earlier thread and my last post on the subject.

You can agree or disagree. But it what I believe is the truth on the matter.
