Looking for anyone with experience who can offer some suggestions on what to do in my situation:
I'm currently getting my single engine private license, and I'm having to rent the plane that I'm training in (Cessna 172). Ideally, renting would not be the way that I have to do it for the long term (as it's just not very financially efficient), but I'm not sure what my other options are...I can't really afford to buy a Cessna or Piper on my own (maybe a partner?), so I've thought about trying to find someone with a plane that doesn't get flown much that would let me fly it and pay for maintenance / annuals.
For those with experience, what did you do in this situation? Any advice? Just trying to make sure that I weigh out all options and make an informed decision going forward. Thanks in advance. Go Dawgs!
