I had to broadcast a game yesterday afternoon and recorded the SECC. The game started at 5:00 and I had to set up just after 4:00. I told my wife, friends, family not to text me because I was going to watch the game when I got home later that night. I put the phone on sleep and felt I had everything covered.
And then the PA announcer decided that people didn't have phones and started announcing scoring updates. Son of a !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thankfully, two things happened. He only announced the score up to 6-0 and there was a running clock in the 4th period which got me out of there quicker than normal.
While I stay off the Vent during the game for obvious reasons, me and the wife have made it a tradition to simply read Vent thread titles during halftime. You should try it for comic relief. Well, I couldn't do that, either.
So I went through the agony, highs/lows, and frankly shock that all of you did many hours later and at around 11PM last night, I realized the Dawgs were once again SEC Champions! The happy tears never felt so good!!!!

- 2017 - top spot because we were finally back and Kirby appeared (correctly) like the guy that was going to get us to national prominence. (and we got revenge on AU)
- 2002 - edged by 2017 because while it was a relief to finally win one, you knew we were going to win it before the game since it was against Arkansas.
- 2024 - story book championship, y'all. What a script!!!!!
- 2022 - we were on a mission. The Natty was more the focus that year.
- 2005 - pure elation but the ones above just had that something extra.
