FSU led Clemp 57-37 with 8:52 to play. They won 76-73 after completely imploding over the course of the rest of the game, surrendering 36 points (1 less than total allowed in first three-fourths of the game) in less than 9 minutes. FSU was almost incapable of the basic inbound pass after a made goal, and at one point the inbound passer dropped the ball and it rolled onto the court giving the defender an uncontested layup.
