…in both run and pass plays last night was atrocious. So bad that my untrained, bourbon soaked eyes caught it live. It’s been mentioned several times this morning re: 84, 4, and 7’s blocking so I just rewatched the game particularly to see how bad it was. It’s insanely atrocious. We strike NO ONE. When we do make contact to block, we don’t hold blocks. We whiff. And I swear to the Almighty, 84 runs towards a block with his eyes closed. It’s true on both runs and passes. London, too.
We talk a lot here about how much we miss LM84 and BB19 from a route running and getting separation perspective, but hot dang we took for granted what those guys plus Marcus Rosemy Jacksaint and RaRa brought to the table. The physical, punch-you-in-the-mouth, strike first and drive you back blocks that consistently sprung a teammate for big gains. It’s missing from this team and it has to get corrected.
