LSU -
-Brutal loss for LSU. Lots at play here for him to return home
-I mean he won't actually be able to play this fall? will he?
I feel like if they somehow get him academically eligible, we should definitely enforce whatever suspension he was facing to the fullest extent.
-I doubt losing the highest rated TE in history is going to be for the greater good
-They managed to get something out of Pickens which is more than I thought possible
-Glad to see he’ll be playing in a division that won’t make his body hurt so much
-It's pretty clear the team wanted him back. Both the staff and the players. He's obviously not that big of a cancer if that's the case.
-All this hype over there all to lose 2 games and not win a natty. Not worried about Georgia at all lol. (Oh, okay)
-If they don’t get his Mom under control it isn’t going to matter where the hell he ends up
-I hate to say I told you so. Just a week ago I was told I was crazy to think he wouldn't be at LSU in the fall. It was a "formality". The staff never felt good about their chances in getting him back. They did everything they could but outside of one visit to discuss things, got nothing back from Gilbert and his family.
-Hopefully LSU does everything possible to make sure Gilbert doesn't play this year
- We'll see if UGA can finally use a TE correctly, but yes, it's a brutal loss when things were at least in shape for him to get eligible again at LSU.
-pretty sure he strung us along just so we’d help him with his eligibility so that’s cool
-Lol. This dude just used LSU for the last few months. Nothing we can do about it. He's made his bed and can lie in it
-It's okay for him to be a real good prospect, it to be a big loss while also saying UGA has to find a way to change years of underutilizing offensive talent.
-What a weird story, weird kid, and weird family
-It’s funny how Georgia is saying how loaded this years team is with all the weapons with Gilbert added to that especially since he isn’t eligible to play. Who’s going to be the quarterback when he is finally eligible to play Daniels won’t be there (wut)
-I wish him the best…but I will be surprised at his future success. I don’t think these things usually end with the player being successful. We shall see.
-all this talk of mental issues, locker room issues, head case… and yet not a single person has actually explained what is going on…
-No doubt he's talented, but I'd be surprised if Bech didn't have the better career in football.
UF
-They lied and told him he was gonna play WR. Hilarious
- can see your point, but I would have liked to have faced UGA without him...
-Huge visit day for us and this is the only football story posted. But the guy we pay needs show recommendations
-I don’t understand. We get told he’s not going to qualify and yet our bitter rivals gets him. Geez
-Same way Georgia was the only school Pickens could get into (wut)
-Same old excuses. UGA could've had every player that missed that game available and we still would've boat-raced you. Stop living in denial - you know it, I know it, everyone knows it. You got a lucky pick-6, we missed a FG, we didn't have Kyle Pitts for about half the game, we took our foot off the gas when it became evident you weren't going to threaten us the entire second half. Still won by 16. You got humiliated in every way.
-Terrible decision by this kid, kirby doesnt know how to use an offensive weapon.Georgia spent some money today, they really want to win bad.
- I bet you Bowl Cut & Co. are doing whatever it takes to get kids in and strongarming their admissions department when necessary if it's between landing an elite kid or not. I refuse to accept that Mullen and Stricklin can't assert authority over admissions. I don't accept that premise at all. If they truly wanted to, they'd be alphas and winners and use their positions as authority and leverage to get what they want. But they're not alphas or winners and are either nice guy betas or lazy--or both.
-If you're the AD or the football coach at Florida, you have more leverage and pull than Janice in admissions. If Mullen actually made a big deal about this to our @ssface President (he's not an @ssface because of this by the way; he's just one in general) and raised hell, you think @ssface doesn't listen? You think if either made noise or threatened to explore other options because of admissions restrictions affecting their job, @ssface lets them walk? No chance. @ssface would bend over backwards to give his athletic breadwinners what they needed.
-Ohio State, and Georgia who already have ridiculous rosters are landing elite transfers further widening the gap between the other 98% of schools. F**k you NCAA for ruining a beautiful sport.
-Can Gilbert cover a wheel route?
-Yep. Know why? UGA wants to win at football. Their AD wants to win at football. Their Administration wants to win at football.
Ours wants the Capital One Cup.
-I think it’s the fact that this year they will have pulled away from even Bama on talent level, which is insane.
- it should be obvious how much Georgia is hated. People use to hate Bama, but Georgia has taken over the reigns of that without the trophys
-Their state governor wants to win to by putting a bill in place that allows them to cheat. (wut)
-Lol now Kirby is beating Mullen in transfers as well! We need a complete revamp of this staff. We are falling further and further behind
UAT
-Probably didn’t pay a dime since he got his bag from LSU a year ago. Will be interesting to see how uga gets him eligible. His gpa is going to shoot up over night I’d bet.
-He will probably get a few more transfers before the Fall. Arik Gilbert, if he has the grades to keep playing, will be a nice addition for UGA. I can't' believe he chose UGA with Darnell Washington there already though.
He said his "body was sore" at LSU, but I think it was much more than that and he wanted out of that place. I don't blame him either. Also, he is closer to home (Marietta) I guess Bama will see UGA in December (I hope Bama makes it there). I think UGA will win the East, especially after Bama whips Florida. I guess the FL/UGA game could go either way depending on the injuries and weather, etc, but I will be pulling for the Gators.
-Best possible outcome in my opinion. LSU would’ve found a way to use him since they actually run a modern offense. UGA will just have him block and he’ll quit again like he did after the Bama game. This is a win-win for Bama tbh
-Oh you guys didn’t hear? He was taking remote classes all Spring.
-Great get for them. He makes them tougher to defend.
-Arik “Sore Body” Gilbert will fit right in at Mentally Soft U (written by a loser from Philly who couldn't get into any decent schools closer to home)
-Georgia just upgraded their talent level a good bit. I'd probably have them as favorites vs Clemson
-because they got a guy that quit because he got a couple bruises and another 2018 5-star bust added to the roster? (same loser)
-As talented as everybody sees they are now, it will make beating them again this year that much sweeter.
-I imagine Saban knows about this if some high school coaches do, right? I sure wish Georgia could get caught at whatever they are doing behind the scenes. (haters gonna hate)
-It’s a good get for georgia, and we wouldn’t complain one bit if he transferred to us. Call a spade a spade.
-Him being from Marietta Ga. was the logical place for him all along. A nice pick-up for Ga. I would have loved to have seen him in Crimson.
-Sounds like an auburn fans excuse for every recruit that signs somewhere else. (in response to someone who said we paid Arik)
-Darnell hitting the transfer portal in 3...2...1... (lmao)
-They also have an awful QB and a head coach that dresses like a woman. (weak lol)
-Kinda weird the top 4 post when I logged on earlier all had Georgia in title. (yep they are obsessed with us even though many of our fans would rather obsess about Aub and UTK)
-I’m a Bama guy but to say they paid is ridiculous. He is a GA kid and everyone knew he screwed up my going to LSU. He was homesick from the beginning. Him announcing FL earlier was a knee jerk (I guess 6 natties in 12 years gets you one classy fan)
-How many Championship seasons start off 0-1? Lol DJ U is gonna shred that trash defense week 1 and I can’t wait (most successful program right now and they hate a team that hasn't beaten them in 13 years. Pathetic group)
-This is fantastic- they are awarding themselves the preseason championship in June this year instead of August- that’s literally the only thing that will change
-Without Hershel, they’re South Carolina. (SoCar has 5 natties, over 800 wins and 10 SEC titles?)
-Why are you always compelled to talk about UGA? Just curious (good question!)
-Gilbert literally quit on his team halfway through the season because his “body was sore”.
Name a softer player in CFB history; I’ll wait. (posted by "PWNSHOPGUY)
-You don't need grades or any thing else to play at LSU. He has the same grades at LSU that he had before he quit.
-This AG saga has been pretty entertaining, watching Lsu and Uga boards go at it has been hilarious lmao. (yet UAT fans have three threads on it lol and they were never really involved)
-Another friend and big Uga fan, whose cousin played for Georgia, argued with me against getting rid of Richt. They liked him personally and felt they had nowhere to go but down after Richt. (some of you guys need to stfu. rival fans are not who you air grievances to about our program)
-Absolutely no reason to think a 45 year old coach — who recruits as well as Kirby does at a program like UGA — will never win a NC if he doesn’t win it this year.
It’s fun to troll them and make fun but he’ll almost certainly get one eventually unless he tries the nfl at some point.
