My best friend from HS is a Tech alum and Tech legacy and I had dinner with him last night. He made a surprising admission and said he is totally done with the Georgia “rivalry.” He said he used to hope to win once every 10 years but at this point he seriously wants Tech to just move down to a lower division because they have no business being on the field with top tier teams and it’s not fun anymore. Personally, given the financial rewards of being a P5 school, I can’t imagine that would ever happen, but I wonder what others here think of that. When the big schools finally break off from NCAA, is this a problem that solves itself?
