Got a notice from Georgia Dept. of Driver Services reminding me that my license will expire soon. They told me to bring my birth certificate, social security card, and a utility bill or bank statement. I plan to go in and say: "Soy extranjero un ilegal y exijo una licencia. Aquí es una dirección Garabateé en una bolsa de papel para demostrar donde vivo. Ahora dame el puto licencia!"
(Translation, I am an illegal alien and I demand a license. Here is an address I scribbled on a paper bag to prove where I live. Now give me the f###ing license!)

My whole life now is working and driving wifey to medical procedures or doing the household chores she can't. When not tied up, I try to catch a very badly needed nap. Just no opportunities for checking in on the Chat nowadays, but hopefully there is light at the end of this tunnel.

Ran into a problem at their office in Oxford when I moved back to GA ....

trying to comply with the law and replace my NC license. I wound up telling the rude idiot to forget it and I drove over to the Conyers office. No problem at all there. How do some of those a###h###s get hired?

they'll have done away with this nonsense about needing your birth certificate. Pretty stupid to say a US passport isn't sufficient.

They had to stop the chemo a month ago, only a third of the way through the treatments. The oncologist wants to restart it, but he wants a cardiologist to check her out thoroughly first. At least for now she is feeling more like her old self. I pray that you nor I ever have to put up with an ostomy bag hanging on our belly. D, JD.
