Dawgs travel to Bobby Dodd on Thanksgiving Day with a team of backups everywhere, nasty weather, fired coach, me, and the GT family I married into.

The game was a struggle; I got one of those seats behind a pole at that wretched piece of shit stadium.

Kanon Parkman (RIP) kicks a wounded duck for a game-winning FG.

After the game, I went back to the in-laws to have Thanksgiving dinner in Snellville, GA. The table is silent, and my (then) wife is the only other person wearing red. I have a shit-eating grin on my face, and I say nothing.

After five minutes of silence, while passing platters around the table, my then-mother-in-law finally says, "I can't believe you're not saying anything or gloating!" My response: "Do I really need to?" She drops her fork and goes straight to a bottle of Vodka in the kitchen.

Divorced in 2015.
