Saw in a few of the score predictions- things along the lines of, “Alabama is playing their best football of the season,” and, “Alabama has gotten better as the year has gone along.” I just wonder if people would be saying this, or so adamant about it, if they hadn’t completed an absolute miracle 4th & 31 past to beat Auburn. If that pass falls incomplete and Bama comes into this game off a loss instead of the narrowest of wins over a very average team, would everyone still be saying how much of a roll they are on, or how dangerous they are? I know that’s a rivalry game where tight games tend to happen, especially in Auburn, but it’s like everybody is ignoring what actually happened on the field. Yes, Bama beat Kentucky & Chattanooga soundly before that game, but the latter really tells me nothing. They got a lot of credit for beating LSU by 2 TDs at home, but Jayden Daniels not playing the 4th quarter had a lot to do with that IMO. Look, I’m not saying Alabama isn’t a very good team, and the most talented one we will face all season, but I guess I just don’t see the juggernaut that many people apparently do.
