The fatal flaw on our 2024 football team, from start to finish, was the offensive line. I've never seen a Georgia football team so consistently incapable of establishing a run game. It hurt us from the Kentucky game through tonight. And the offensive line failed again and again and again to protect our QBs, particularly from the blind side.
Hard to run an offense when the O-line isn’t doing its job.
I don’t know whether Gunner Stockton should and will be our QB in 2025, but that kid played with guts and talent tonight. He deserved much better, and I have much more confidence now that he might win the job going forward. I’m definitely rooting for him.
Finally, the 2024 Georgia Bulldogs are the Southeastern Conference Champions. I know many of you don’t care about that. But as a guy who's lived and died with Georgia football teams for more than half a century, it means a helluva lot to me. Especially in the first year we have a 16-team league.
