I thought John Hart was a great hire at the time, but he's been a damn disgrace. If you needed young pitching, why the hell did you traded away Craig Kimbrel, one of the best closers in the game, and Alex Wood, one of your best starters. Damn fool. You claim you need young pitching, yet you trade three away.

Perhaps the owners Liberty Media have become like the Miami Marlins ownerships. Fire sale ever year because they don't want to pay out any money. The ownership is a disgrace too.

Hart is now the #2 guy, it's not his show.
I'm warming to what they are trying to do after the Miller trade.
They have added around 20 pitchers to their minor league system in the past 14 months. Many of them are rated future MLB starters, of course many will fall short, that's a given in baseball.

As far as a possible trade of Inciarte to The Cubs, most of The Cubs prospects are positional players, man are they loaded with top young positional prospects.
One of them just happens to play Jason Heyward's position. Jorge Soler is a 23 year old 6'4'' 215lb Rt fielder with big pop in his bat and a huge arm for defense. He is still a raw fielder, but they like his upside a lot.
Their best pitching prospect is 24 year old CJ Edwards. He is rated a B+ prospect by Baseball America. He has a 2.01 ERA over 5 minor league seasons, he averages 11 Ks per 9 innings. He's projected as a 2nd or 3rd man in a major league rotation.
If The braves could get both Soler and Edwards for Inciarte, it might make sense.
That would give them The #1 player from last summer's draft, 2 high level starting pitcher prospects and Soler for Miller.

They DON'T have Miller anymore. They traded him to get Inciarte, a top prospect and another pitcher. Now they want to trade Inciarte for more pitching. after trading away 2 good starters and the best reliever in the game.

By ''the Miller trade'' I mean they traded Miller.
If management can get The Cubs' top pitching prospect AND their top OF prospect, who is rated in the top 10 prospects in baseball, for inciarte, it wouldn't be the craziest old thing I've seen. Jorge Solar is a top RF prospect who happens to have excellent raw power and a very good OPS throughout his minor league stops. He also crushed the ball in last year's MLB playoffs.

I don't think it would be too crazy. Cubs are in a "win now" mentality and like many teams, they may be willing to trade future pieces, aka prospects, to accomplish that. Sadly, it seems to hurt more than help by history standards.
