...has caused hell itself to freeze right over! For all of you who said, "you'll never hear Nick Saban make excuses," guess again. Here's what he had to say today at "Bama Days" (aka SEC Media Days):
"Our team chemistry from the SEC championship game to the playoff game was affected by something," Saban said"... We had six guys in this situation this past year and 11 the year before. So we're trying to get ready for a game, and all of a sudden a guy finds out he's a first-round draft pick or a guy that thought he was a first-round draft pick finds out he's not a first-round draft pick, and we're trying to get ready to play a playoff game. I think it would be better not to submit that information to a player until he was finished competing in college."
After last year's absolute beat-down by Oklahoma in the Sugar Bowl, according to his eminence it was because the team wasn't motivated after the last-second missed FG returned for TD against the Talibarn.
After Johnny Manziel and Nick Marshall both lit his defense up like a cheap cigar, that was because college offenses are too fast and unsafe now.
Those sure sound a LOT like excuses to me. What say you?
