I did not like it but I was young, then as I got older and more wise I found out how good shrimp can be. You can cook it in so many different ways sometimes it takes a little longer on some of the recipes but once I got it down I'm a shrimp cooking fool now.

fried shrimp, boiled shrimp, shrimp scampi, grilled shrimp, coconut shrimp

Good ears. My Grandmother is 101, won't eat'em, says they is bottom feeders, but she loves catfish. :)

A word of culinary shrimp advice LSD,if you ever want to do kabobs......

make sure you have separate skewers for shrimp and peppers, onions, mushrooms, etc. The veggie/peeper skewers take much longer to get that char that is so good. If you put shrimp on the same skewers as the pepper, onion, mushroom combo,by the time the veggies are perfectly charred your shrimp are very, very UNGOOD!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks kp.....

I am familiar with this process! But this shrimp thing was meant to motivate and get the mind juices flowing.

Only skrimps I knew of was Shoney's Big Boy's fried skrimps. Only seafood

I ever had up to 18 was fried skrimps, fish sticks and fried catfish.

Dated a girl when I was 18 who made me try snow crab legs. She dipped it in melted butter and gave it to me. Changed my world. Been a seafood freak ever since.

You ever skewer them lengthwise so the don't curl up? Can't get many on

one skewer, but make a nice presentation.

I skewer them flat meaning through the tail and then a the top.......

I also leave a tiny space between them because if they are touching sometimes the part that touches the other shrimp doesn't cook evenly with the rest of the shrimp.

If you ever want a good shrimp basting sauce or sauce in general.......

for seafood, here ya go Catalina dressing(IT CANNOT BE FRENCH IT HAS TO BE CATALINA),yellow mustard( just good ol' hot do mustard,Lea&Perrins Worcestershire sauce a little honey, mix it all up and BAM!!!!!!!!!!!
