Fan expectations. We need to expect success and reject all excuses why UGA cannot become one of the best basketball schools in the nation.
We have everything we need to succeed but history and a great coach. That is not a joke. Most schools cannot say that because they do not have the resources, recruiting base, large fanbase, P5 status, state flagship status, and facilities. People who say we cannot get a young top tier head coach to come to UGA makes me sick. Other than some of the traditional powers in the Big East it is possible, possible not probable, but possible to pull any particular head coach of any G5 school east of the Mississippi that has coached at such school for three years or less. No one knows who would say yes, and no one knows who would say no, but we have a lot to offer and the naysayers are killing our basketball program.
As soon as it is mathematically impossible for UGA to make the NCAA Tourney Fox must be let go so we can get out in front of other schools who will be making a coaching change this year. We need to do what we can to increase our chances of getting our top choice. We need to be smart and spend some money.
As ADGM has said himself, "What must be done eventually should be done now".
