The good-

1. We won.

2. We won by 17 at Vandy despite missing two makable field goals.

3. We made the plays we had to make to win the game.

4. Special teams- nice punt return for TD.

The bad-

1. Special teams. 2 missed FGs, a muffed punt snap that goes for a first down, not recovering a deep pooch kick for the umpteenth time . Why can't we get someone to call a fair catch on that and catch the ball. Richt talks about blocking better to have a chance to cover it after it hits. WTH?

2. Lack of focus by our defense for the full 24. Three freaking RZ drives in the last half of the fourth quarter. Why can we get stops early, but not in those important times?

3. Our OC's unwillingness to take a struggling QB and give him some easy pass opportunities on first down early on. Why did it seem we only attempted to pass on third down or second down and long? I'll have to review the game again to see, but it sure seemed like we only passed on a passing down which is a recipe for disaster when you've got a guy struggling like GL.

The ugly-

Lambert... okay here's the honest truth. I've tried to kid myself that what I saw last week I didn't really see. That he had a great game and it wasn't because we played some little school with much less talent. The truth: He looked nervous and had a lack of confidence last week as well. If his primary target isn't open, he rushes things. He is scared of contact. His fundamentals go to shite and he is mistake prone if he feels even a small semblance of a pass rush.

Ramsey...It's a small sample, but seems less panicked when under pressure.

My take: Lambert makes better decisions in practice when the action is not live and he knows he's not gonna get popped. Brice doesn't make all the right calls. Probably doesn't audible as well even from one run play to another (what Richt calls "getting us in the right play).

My hope: They eventually see that as long as Lambert is scared he's just as mistake prone as Ramsey with less chance of making plays. Ramsey is our QB by the time Bama comes to Athens.
