The NCAA myth of the “neutral field” regional

It’s obviously very much not a neutral site. So how about dropping the charade and quit pretending otherwise. It always bugs me when any team that’s hosting a regional or super regional on its own field has to pretend to be the “away” team and gets robbed of the opportunity to bat last. They earned that right by getting to host. This “away” team business on our own field is just complete nonsense. I also think they should allow us to play all of our normal walk up music, etc. too. Not sure what the NCAA thinks it’s accomplishing with these kinds of petty rules, other than to look pretty dumb.
