The next HC would be wise to keep Pruitt and his defensive coaches.

We are 8th nationally in defense, and even better than that of late.
I've read Kirby might ask his buddy Muschamp to be his DC, that would be a very bad trade IMO. Muschamp a better reputation than his results justify. Pruitt is just building what looks to be a real powerhouse in the coming years.

My opinion is that Pruitt will be offended that he's not the choice, and will not stick around.

Just saw where multiple sources are saying Herman has already agreed in principle to become the next HC.

I'm not sure how Bama is a better job for Him unless he thinks He has more to learn from Saban. He is building His own legacy here.

He's as self-absorbed as they come. He'll be pissed that he's not the new HC at UGA and will try to position himself as Saban's replacement at Bama.

If so it's very

Maybe, but there's still a good case for staying at UGA till a HC job opens. It's very questionable whether Saban would recommend Pruitt as his replacement anyway. There are several top candidates from Saban's tree.

That's almost 100% guaranteed!

Why is that ?
It's not like it's unusual for new HCs to holdover some coaches. Richt kept Donnan's DL coach, it happens.
On the other hand Florida's AD wanted DC JD Durkin held over, he had similar success to Pruitt, but McElwain choose to let him go anyway, We'll all know soon enough.

I'm just letting you know again what I heard. Pruitt pissed the wrong people off.

If everyone is gone, why was Brown and McLendon the only coaches that weren't pulled off of the recruiting trail? Whoever the coach is will obviously keep at least a couple for familiarity's sake and recruiting.

I don't have an answer. I'm just relaying what I was told. It may not be true.

Brown must be getting used to this. He had the same job trying to keep Wisconsin's class together 2 years ago after the HC left. He did a great job by all accounts. He was kept by the next HC of course.
