...is not our blocking. Defenses are reading our damn mail. Everyone in the stadium knows the personnel/formation combos and their DBs/LB - hell, even their edge players - come flying like bats out of Hell at the snap. There are times they even start creeping before the snap - they KNOW it's coming. It's simple film study.
It's damn near impossible to block when the D reacts that way. We will decry Yurosek/Luckie/Delp or some poor WR getting run over or run by, but they're being put in a situation where they can't succeed. And on top of that, the WR is receiving the ball already under great duress.
Yeah, I know...screen game is an extension of the run game. If it was between the tackles we wouldn't keep running into a run blitz over and over and over. That's all we are doing, just on the perimeter.
