At this point we have one reliable starter (Woods) who is good for 5-6 innings. But we can’t afford to pull him when he is tired because we have to save our bullpen. That’s because Sully, the Saturday starter, might give you 5 innings on a good day. The problem is he usually gets yanked by inning 3-4. Our Sunday and mid-week starting pitchers is Johnny Wholestaff…… did you just read that? We don’t have a starting pitcher for either Sunday or Tuesday. Folks, We don’t have the pitching to compete. Period. This is totally unacceptable, especially in year 10.
