be proactive and hire a search firm, not to select the new HC but to talk to coaches and their agents behind the scenes. A SF can do those things that an AD can't do yet. By doing this, he can get ahead of the curve and have a new HC ready to go as soon as the season is over. He can get one of the top prospects. If he doesn't act proactively, UGA will suffer by having to hire from the leftovers. After the SC does the research and sets things up behind the scenes, I'd like for GM to name a few former player to help him make the decision on the new HC.
