I’ve been piecing together information regarding offensive lineman Noah Josey after Rob’Cassidy's post the other day. After speaking with a few sources, here’s what I think is going on: Josey was likely looking to commit to Georgia this week or soon thereafter. Right now, I don’t think he has a spot. Why would UGA pass on a four-star offensive lineman? Georgia may have a better feel about other pieces in this class today than it previously did. This seem to bode quite well for UGA's chances with Terrence Ferguson and Dylan Fairchild moving forward.

Speaking of offensive linemen, we heard that former Bulldog and current New England Patriot David Andrews joined the UGA o-line daily Zoom meeting to say hello. Apparently it was a nice surprise to hear from Boss.

Dallas Turner will be in our series of "Most Wanted" articles here soon, and I think the feeling is pretty mutual for the time being. I spoke to him a couple of days back, and he has Georgia ‘at the top’ of his list. I know there’s been speculation about other teams being involved, and rightfully so given his talent, but the Bulldogs are sitting really well here. The UGA coaches have kept the heat turned up on Turner throughout lockdown.

I was a bit surprised by Kamar Wilcoxson’s decision to commit to Tennessee. It felt like signs were pointing toward Georgia after his second decommitment from Florida. Let’s watch this one going forward. It feels like if the Bulldogs press, they could still be in this race.

We were asked on the podcast about to whom Georgia would turn if Barrett Carter continues to trend toward Clemson. One guy you definitely need to watch is athlete Prince Kollie of David Crockett High School in Jonesborough, Tennessee. I spoke with him, and his love for Georgia is real. He’s well versed in the tradition of the program and wants to visit Athens as soon as possible. Go watch the tape. It’s fun.

Georgia is also strongly chasing Carrollton outside linebacker Chaz Chambliss. I spoke to him briefly the other day, and he says Georgia is the team recruiting him hardest right now. That's a smart move, as he’s a great player and happens to have a very talented 2022 teammate behind him in quarterback MJ Morris. Morris' name should be mentioned alongside Gunner Stockton’s when discussing the quarterbacks in the next recruiting cycle.

Speaking of 2022, you’d do well to commit the name AJ Johnson to memory. The 6-foot-2 rising junior may be based in New Orleans, but he came up in Snellville, Georgia, and seems to still consider it home. Johnson gushed about his offer from Georgia and the opportunity to “play for my city." Don’t forget Georgia’s has two New Orleans natives on the staff in coaches Scott Cochran and Cortez Hankton who can aid in the pursuit of Johnson.

Keep Travis Shaw of Greensboro, North Carolina, on your radar as well. I’m told Georgia is one of the early favorites for the five-star defensive tackle. Between him and Tyre West, things are looking strong for Tray Scott in 2021.

Look for Keon Sabb to put in a visit to Georgia when possible. He’ll be one of the top players in 2022.

UPDATED 1:30 PM (NOTES BY TRENT)

I entered forecasts in for Terrance Ferguson and Smael Mondon to Georgia this week. One other prospect I am close to forecasting to the Bulldogs is three-star offensive guard Dylan Fairchild. This makes more sense with Jake's note about Josey above. From what I am hearing, it looks like Kirby Smart and Matt Luke are leaning towards taking four offensive linemen in this class. If the staff could hit on the four in-state offensive linemen it would be a grand slam class.

This has been said time after time but I still love Georgia's chances for four-star wide receiver Deion Colzie. Not sure on an announcement timeframe just yet, but it would not surprise me to see the Athens product choose his destination sooner than later.

As of today, I believe Georgia is at the top for both west coast tight ends. Moliki Matavao and Brock Bowers are both big targets for tight ends coach Todd Hartley but the question remains, can he land both? As of today I am going to go with Bowers as the guy that lands in this class but if Hartley can land both a year after landing Darnell Washington........just wow.
