and the sheer arrogance of Google to blame their dangerous experiment on 'other people that don't drive safely'

I think their cars are reported as having an accident rate something like 10 times as much as normal . Kinda proves that there's more to driving properly than simply following a strict set of rules. When my pappy thought me to drive, he always harped on how important it is to drive by the rules BUT ALWAYS WATCH THE OTHER GUY .... Just in case. I don't see how a robot search engine car can watch the other guy, except passively through radar

And just why is a search engine/ad agency developing cars? Seems like these guys forget what business they're in while they're wallowing in a sea of cash and California exceptionalism

Driverless cars may work one day, but it would take a complete change to the infrastructure to make it happen. Really, for it to work, EVERY car on the road needs to be driverless.

As far as Google goes, it is definitely the current Evil Empire. First it was Microsoft, then Apple, and now Google.

I think the difference with the other evil empires is that they stick to the knitting

Cars? Really?
