Is just nuts. It’s not just Davis and Curly… it looks like Hoskins is a guy… I think we all knew going back to 2023 that he has a very high ceiling. It’s other guys too. Farley and Justin Byrd have both shown a lot. We know Zach Harris can be a guy. Zach Brown pitched so well yesterday. Brian Zeldin I think is going to land back in the bullpen as more of a long guy. He got a lot of big outs last year … you don’t do what you did last season without Zeldin being able to come into a game in 6th sometimes and close it all the way down.
“Loaded” just isn’t the right word for this group.
Last year in the regional, we used Leighton Finley to close down game 4, after he stated game 1. In the Super, we used Kolten Smith for multiple innings in game 3, after he stated game one. I know you manage it differently in the postseason and use your absolute best options, but part of that was that we just weren’t deep enough to have a lot of options with everything on the line. I’m not looking ahead to that right now, but it’s pretty remarkable how much different it looks now than a year ago.
This team is something. Long year I know. But you have to be really excited right now
