This is amazing footage of the UGA-Tennessee game played on 1 NOV 1969. Good color, perfect sound---you can even hear the PA announcer between plays. The panoramic shot at the beginning of the video shows how much Sanford Stadium has changed since the 1960s.

The outcome went in Tennessee's favor, but an amazing time capsule of Georgia football nonetheless.

That is really cool! Thanks for sharing.

I think it was amazing back then. The way it was built into the hills and the open ends created an atmosphere you can't get with an enclosed structure like Sanford is today.

I love the history you can see in movies or still shots from moments like that. I was 3 years old at the time of that game.
I wonder how much the tickets were then?

Thanks for sharing. Games like that one would today prompt demands to fire OC's at both schools. Times have changed in so many ways.

I was there. 13 years old at the time. I think UGA was undefeated at the time but might not have won again after this loss.

The Dawgs lost to Ole Miss earlier in the season, but you are right, they tied Florida and lost out, ending the season at 5-5-1 and going to the Sun Bowl.
