This is going to sound elitest and I know it's a mouthful coming from me, because I'm probably more disliked than liked. Im totally cool with that...

But I can't help but notice most of the stupid takes and toxicity are coming from people who haven't accumulated a lot of posts. I feel like there should be an additional board. Hear me out. If people pay for access to the Vent, they should be able to read whatever content they want, period, but MAYBE for posters who don't want to deal with retardation, there should be a mechanism to allow them to do that, and Im not talking about a stupid ignore button. Maybe if someone has X amount of posts or their reputation has exceeded a certain level (a dislike button would be helpful here), they should be allowed to post on a board where other people have earned a right to post there. Incentive based. I probably wouldn't even be able to post there. If people want to post there, post quality and don't be a dick... your peers will determine your worth.

People will say, post on the Main Board or Chat if you like AIDS. Not what I'm talking about. I'm talking about a natural firewall (people are free to read the content) based on a poster's proven merit. It shouldn't be overly difficult to attain and if a mod sees a quality post, a mod can award the ability to post on Quality-Vent if they want. It should be harder to take away. Peers should dictates that.

Won't happen, but it should.

Maybe it will end up too Disney, and I'd challenge them and get kicked off. But even if it ends up too Disney with no tolerance for critical thinking, I think the nerds deserve something that doesn't resemble a shit show to them.
