It's amazing how much Tim Jernigan meant to that defense considering it was full of future NFL players. When he came out of the lineup against Auburn it was neutered.

If We can close out a couple more of the DL We're after for the 2016 class, We might have the makings of just as good or better defensive front as that FSU team had.

Coach Pruitt has said FSU's defense had been well coached before he took over and he didn't have to change much.
None of this means he won't prove to be a top DC, I'm guardedly optimistic.

The jury is still out on Pruitt. I haven't seen anything yet to merit his 1.2 million dollar salary. His inability to adjust in the Florida game last year was disconcerting. Poor tackling fundamentals and secondary play has been seriously inconsistent. I don't see why you keep hyping this guy. Our defense is average so far.

$1.35 million. Lots of D players gone for a variety of reasons. Having to play/start a bunch of freshmen which is causing issues.

With last years, this year and next years potential class, Pruitt will have the talent level he had at FSU. The man can flat our recruit and we're seeing that now. Give him time and we'll have one of the top defenses in the country.

This is a good point. I'm hoping year 3 if when we really click with Pruitt's D. I watched the Bama and UT game over and there's still a lot of confusion on D. If are at the same level this time next year I will really be questioning his direction.

The secondary constantly looks confused. More importantly, they don't tackle very well. Why are we playing a lot of freshmen every year. What happens to them?
