although that too. They are losing "it" that indefinable something that holds a team together and keeps them competing in adversity. The first signs of losing it are no help on D. We saw it several times tonight as M. St. drove for easy baskets from the backcourt. Twice it was so egregious even the announcers said WTF. But, it was more than twice. We are losing 50/50 balls which is another sign. Watch the player's body language and how they look in the huddles. They don't believe Fox has answers and why would they. I'm sure he is just screaming the same stuff as always. Watch for fingerpointing and Fox becoming increasingly shrill. It is a damn shame.
People say we have bad guard play or this and that about players. Nobody could play well consistently in our offense. It is just not possible. I stop the recording from time to time just too see what the floor looks like when either DO, or Edwards has the ball at the top of the key. There is now way to run an offense when the D has taken away any chance of an entry pass to Yante. Fox should've had both those guys shooting 100 extra shots a day from the fou lline, which is where they could set up if they wanted. Or how about Diatta there?
We are trying to make a run with 8 minutes or so left and several times down we run a weave above the top of the key for half the shotclock basically cutting our possessions in half.
Crump starts, where is Harris, several folks have asked about Diatta for a month or so. Has there ever been a team where questions like where is so and so, is he hurt, in the doghouse, poor practices crop up with such regularity. I don't think DSiatta got back in till about 6-7 minutes mark in 2nd half. If I'm wrong correct me, but if not, why? He was the hottest shooter we had first half.
Announcers asking why we don't run more along with most on here. The whole enchilada is beyond belief.
There is one hope for this team and that is for Fox to just turn them loose, as he has before, and allow the players to play without thinking and their natural talent to take over. It will be a war in his mind between allowing that, or fearing for his job so much he won't won't let go.
