I feel pretty confident the 2002 team would have won if there was a playoff that year. Great season with only one blemish.
A new version of the 2002 victory over Georgia Tech popped up on my feed today and got some thinking about the 2002 team
Georgia Tech had won three in a row and then we snapped that streak in 2001. So this was still a very hot rivalry at that time. And… We had just come off of that miracle victory at Auburn to clinch the SEC East for the first time ever.
Athens was rocking this day in 2002
Great senior day for a great group of seniors maybe the best group of seniors we’ve ever had. Definitely up there.
