Don't understand. They wanted CMR there, he's going to be there. UGA didn't block it and very well could have.

This weekend, like it is most years, was always a combination of senior gala and recruiting weekend. It has always been that way and will continue to be as long as a dead period occurs in December. The Seniors will get their awards, etc...they will be honored....but, even if Richt was here, the majority of time over the weekend would be spent with kids for next year.

The difference is, Kirby's recruiting completely over-shadowed The Seniors' big night. Maybe it was unavoidable due to timing, but it's unfortunate.
Nobody should be held above those who have completed their careers in Athens honorably. I consider these Seniors higher on the VIP list than Eason, I think We all should.

I'm sick of hearing about Eason tbh. He won't come in any higher rated than Stafford did, with no more accolades than Aaron Murray had.

We should have shot for a better coach, with a 21st century offense and OC.

Senior Gala has always just been reported on, the recruits make more news especially with a change and the whole eason thing...trust me, the Seniors are getting their due and their gala.

You're right. From all the articles I've read this am, this was all about Coach Richt and a farewell, not the seniors.

I've been to the Gala and the recruits that were there ate an left best I could tell so being elsewhere was good for them and the recruiting effort. CMR got the recognition he deserved as did the seniors. I think it was win, win, win.

I actually agree it became more about Richt, or the relationship between CMR and his seniors. It seems this is what His players wanted though. I'm also seeing focus on the players too. The worst thing that could happen is these players and this team being ignored as yesterday's news.
These are Richt players and they'll never play a down in The CKS era, so I get it, but I see Your point.
