Sitting here watching Georgia take on Arky (in Ark) on SECN. They’re down 2-0 and looks like they’re gonna drop the match (maybe something changes).
Looking at the SEC standings, they’re 6-4 and second to last in the conference as of 9/25.
Got me thinking of Tom Black and his record at UGA since being hired (7 seasons now). He got his contract extended in early ‘23 after the program made its deepest postseason run in more than a quarter of a century. He was named SECCOTY in ‘22. Ga went 23-8 and reached the 2nd round of NCAAT for 1st time in 27 years.
Other than ‘22 they seem to be mediocre to lower /bottom half of SEC. Was curious if anyone follows the program (more than me) if they have any insight on the program and if Black is the guy. Pretty sure UGA doesn’t have any type of volleyball history/tradition so not sure if there is anything to compare to or not.
