This Kid intrigues Me more than any that's come along in awhile.
First His hs stats. He has been a star all over the place, He even threw a pass a good 55 yards through the air.
On offense he had 2257 yards rushing in mostly 2 seasons, he concentrated on receiver this season. He had 2696 yards receiving at 18 yards per catch. That's just under 5000 YFS. He had 28 tds rushing, 32 tds receiving, 60 total.
On defense he had 428 tackles from His safety position, that came to 9.7 per game played. He also had 11 ints with 221 yards returned and 15.5 TFL.

The guy is listed as 6.5'' 240lb. He's built like a 6'0'' RB from the waist down and a 6'7'' small forward from the waist up. That gives Him very unusual running/cutting ability for a 6'5'' guy, plus a hell of a catch radius.

My question is, what is His college position, and how good can He be at this level ? Rabun Co. isn't exactly the best place for competition, it's a small mountain school, but He runs somewhere in the 4.65 range on that frame, there aren't many that big who can scoot faster.

I know He was recruited as a WR, and I like Him there, but I could see Him following in Uncle Scott's path at Safety, or adding 20lb and playing ILB ( Tree II?). Keep in mind Bama doesn't use players on both sides of the LOS and they don't switch them around.

Anyway, I've never seen Him play live or seen Him period other than on Video. Anything You want to throw into the conversation will be welcome.

I think he sticks at wide out he reminds me of jimmy graham

Acoording, to pay board, he is a special teamer. Nostalgic name, decent athlete.

His uncle earned him the right for an opportunity to play, whatever the position.

That must explain all the offers from some of the best programs from Bama, to Michigan and Oregon. They must all be big Scott Woerner fans.

My thought is none of what's posted in this thread means a damn thing until he signs and begins competing at the college level. Until then, what he did in high school doesn't matter one damn bit.

Exactly, these people worshipping these HS kids is a bit creepy. Most never pan out...

Speaking of ''creepy'' some people follow college football and don't care at all about the players or coaches involved, that is weird to Me, what's the point ?
If most didn't pan out We'd never field good teams. The goal is to sign productive COLLEGE players, in that respect the percentage of 4 star recruits to contribute is good.
To throw up Your hands and say it's all a complete crap shoot is to suggest You don't trust Your own judgment. Of course We don't KNOW, even 1st rd draft picks fail, but statistics prove decidedly services do a pretty good job in rankings.
A 5 star has a far better statistical chance of being drafted. That truth works down from 5 to 4 to 3 to 2, the higher the rating, the better odds of being drafted.
I have a 4 pronged approach.. Production in HS,Physical ability, drive, character. If a Kid performed at a high level in HS, I look at his physical tools, I try to find out about their drive to perform going forward. I then look at what is revealed about Their character.
Murray aced all 4 so I was very confident He'd do very well. Ray Drew Had character and ability, he lacked HS production and drive, I hate it for the guy, he's as good a person as We've had, but he never seemed to want it enough on a consistent basis.

You're wrong: http://247sports.com/Article/The-recruiting-ranking-of-each-NFL-Draft-Pick-in-2015-37113419

That doesn't contradict My point at all. You have to consider there are only 20 or so players rated 5 stars each year, while there are 100s of players rated 3 stars. The likelihood a 5 star player will be drafted is FAR greater than a 3 star's chances.

The people have spoken. You're clearly wrong.

Think we will put him in the slot and move him around before he settles in at tight end in 2017 at the earliest. Going to be a freshman all american imo with over fifty catches. Ridiculous that he's not in the rivals 100 and next year woody will be saying he should have been a 5*. Really wish he was an ee.
