Going into the year we had a bunch of WRs who had some flashes in previous years. Lovett, Bell, and Arian but none ever really had to be THE guy. We hoped they could given the opportunity.
Maybe none of those guys really had the confidence or even ability to be that guy. So they put pressure on themselves. Then as they have drops or others have drops the pressure builds and we see the result. We had 3 guys that maybe just couldn't get out of their own way.
Obviously Rara and Young had their issues. Humphreys and White had health issues. Tuggle never got expanded reps which didn't help the situation.
Add in a QB who *allegedly* didn't do much in the way of trying to build chemistry, a OL and RB room that couldn't stay healthy, and an incredibly tough schedule and it was a season tough to watch on offense.
Hopefully a guy steps up to be THE guy this year. Whether it's Young, Bell, Branch, Thomas, Tuggle, Taylor, Wiley, etc. and helps ease the burden on some of the other guys.
