Christianity is welcome in every aspect of my life but the G has to walk a fine line due to the Constitution. He’s chosen this person as the “leader” of his new “faith department”.

There will never be a United States Faith Department, on account of the plain language of our Constitution.

Aside from that, what does his choice of leader does you about DJT’s overall judgment and/or his actual Christianity?

It tells me that his arrogance overrides any semblance of judgment that he ever possessed (duh) and that he’s pandering to Christianity by insulting our intelligence.

Fire away, disagreement is welcome.

Same. Trump is a complex candidate. Aside from the constant stream of lies, and his borderline illegal activities, the things you listed above are why I voted for him.

I wish he were a more perfect candidate, but Dems probably wish Kamala was as well

Definitely separation of powers is a thing. Both sides should recognize it. All of the church’s across the country campaigning from the pulpit should lose tax exempt status.

I don’t get the stream of lies bullshit. Can you prove where he lies all the time.

No. A lie is something that is not true that you say to mislead people.

If you feel anything above is true, that makes me sad for you.
Well, considering reports have come out that COVID did come from a a Wuhan lab, like Trump said, and Ivermectin helped several people recover from COVID, and more evidence is coming out about 2020, you can’t say any of it is a lie. Has it all been 100% proved, no. But that doesn’t mean it’s a lie yet.

It’s admittedly an incredibly odd move for a President who says he wants to cut the size and scope of government to create an entire brand spanking new federal department. It does seem antithetical to his stated mission. I don’t have a philosophical problem with federal oversight of the free exercise of religion in our republic, so long as others’ rights are not breached by that free exercise (e.g. Islamic sympathizers marching on college campuses hollering death to Jews).
I agree that President Trump’s new Department o’ Faith must not shove Christianity down the throat of Americans, lest they violate the First Amendment rights of citizens who ascribe to other religions. I think it’s as bad an idea for a politician to go there as it is to take on abortion.
The problem with the abortion debate is this:
Rational people can reasonably agree that there is an enormous chasm of difference between so-called post-coital contraception and so-called partial birth abortion.
The problem?
The zealots on BOTH sides of that argument will swear there is no difference between those two things, which is irrational.
I agree with you 100% that the U.S. government must not establish religion. Doesn’t matter that we are a nation founded by Christians and populated heavily by Christians. People not bothering others have every right to exercise their religious views.
Some jackass who’s overstayed his visa marching around campuses hollering death to Jews? Deport his ass in a skinny minute.
You’ve demonstrated quite well the concept of what our republic is all about. Respect for the rights and values of every citizen not violating the rights of other citizens is paramount. Running roughshod over those with minority opinions or values is just not ok.
However, power-thirsty libs have an unusual proclivity for calling the U.S.A. “our democracy.” It’s a phrase thrown around way too recklessly. So much that I even read a quote recently from Kash Patel when he called the U.S. “our democracy.”
Democracy is two wolves and a chicken voting on what is for supper.
We are a republic.
It’s a tad upsetting to discover that our government is funding transgender comic books and operas abroad. Shame on whatever turd authorized those things because they are absolutely ridiculous disbursements for a country 40 trillion in debt. Should you disagree, please block me now. I will not be offended I’ll just try to change hearts and minds willing to be changed. I promise, my heart and mind are willing to be changed. You should know where my heart and mind are. I’m a libertarian at heart. I long ago parted company with the GOP on issues like gay marriage. I would’ve voted for it 20 years ago. Had they put it on the ballot in my state. I disagree with the Oberkfell decision because marriage is and has always been a privilege granted by the individual states (admittedly broadly). Much like driving an automobile.
At least in this post, you seem like a good and reasonable dude.. I’m trying to make in-roads and start conversations here. I promise thatI’m not trying to piss you off. Pissing contests get us nowhere. Apologies ahead of time if you feel I’ve done that.
Please realize that most conservatives feel that they have been run over roughshod by Liberal horseshit, and are absolutely sick of it. Please realize that most conservatives blame that liberal horseshit for the financial mess we are in now. I am completely willing to concede that Republicans have been complicit in that, probably mostly because they are scared of being “canceled“ by liberals and getting unelected. An article 5 convention is probably the only way we will be able to put term limits on the jackasses, from both major parties, spending my children, and yours into an inability to realize the American dream.
Please don’t call our republic “our democracy.”
As you have clearly demonstrated, given your skepticism over the department o’ faith, you respect the rights and beliefs of people that don’t think and believe like you do. Please continue living that. It is the foundation for our republic and the entire reason for the electoral college. I’ll expect to see you shouting down anyone calling for it extinction. Thank you for your time, sir.

I think DJT has God and Christian values in his life more than you speculate…is he a bible toter, most likely not, but actually I have no idea how much Christianity is in him. He’s better for America than the Obama/biden regime…but I’m not a progressive woke that put America in an idiotic state of mind.

I have talked to a couple of doctors recently and personally. Many gave Ivermectin anyway. And it helped the majority of their patients. That is FIRST hand sources (mine) .. and 1000s of doctors nationwide have said the same thing. Except for HERR Fauci who's hand has been in the government cookie jar all his life. Fact. And got rich. Doctors early on, the first 3-4 weeks of cases, were successfully giving Ivermctin. Then here comes the FDA banning it and threatening doctors license to practice if they prescribed it. So I don't care what your feeble mind says or recites lib/socialist talking points.

Please remind me when the FDA banned it. They advised that is was not recommended for the treatment of Covid. I'm well aware of doctors who used it and their patients were helped, but that doesn't prove it was Ivermectin. There were no credible scientific studies at that time proving that Ivermectin was beneficial. I haven't seen any since and the last one I saw last year was no different. I would love to see something different.

Can we set the record straight on ivermectin. As you know this is a topic that I have kept up with very closely. For good reason. When I was being treated ten months into the COVID effects in America, my own Covid doctor said they were throwing things against the wall to see what may stick. They didn’t have a clue really what was working. I am not sure they definitively have a clue today. They believe by testing it something may work, but I think we can say the vaccine wasn’t very effective. Or at least it didn’t do what it was claiming. Not sure all the tests have been very accurate

No test ever run says ivermectin is a cure for Covid. People throw that around trump’s neck. Honestly it really pisses me off. He claimed it had been working on people. Guess who took ivermectin. Trump and Biden.

The only people claiming it worked was doctors. If given early enough it seemed to slow down the symptoms. So a ton of doctors used it, because no one else had a clue what worked. This actually showed results. Again, tests say they couldn’t find a reason. That being said, there were a ton of doctors using it because it seemed to be working. If you are someone like me, would you give a rats ass if the fda could find no benefits, or would you want to know anything out there that has shown some results in real life. Trump was right to tell people about it. Anyone saying differently just has an agenda brother imo.

I'm definitely not going to say Trump was right to tell people about it. The President should not be giving out medical advice, but we know he can't keep his mouth shut.

I remember well what you went through and are glad you are still with us. If my doctor said it might help, I would take it. I agree with you on that. I don't think we should be saying that the vaccine wasn't very effective, but I'm not going to rehash that. Yes, it didn't do everything they claimed.

But I didn't say that in my post (you just want to make your argument). I said the FDA didn't ban it. I said I wasn't aware of any credible scientific studies proving it was effective. You haven't countered those two statements. So tell me something new otherwise I'm not interested.

Having a belief in Christ and God does not make one a Christian. Is he a believer in Christ, I don't know. Even if he is he is not a true Christian. Neither was biden, kamala, etc etc etc. His choice shows he does not know much about Christianity. She shouldn't be there. I think his intent is good because it cannot be denied that dims have attacked Christianity. Its just like in everything dims support, they will try to force a minority opinion, (gay normalization, pro-Islamic antisemitic positions etc) down everyone's throats at the expense of everything including Christianity. (forcing cakes to be baked or closing businesses that are privately owned if they don't comply). I believe his idea is to make sure things like that don't happen. Although his choice is bad I don['t think it is nefarious.

Now lets talk about the fact that he is at least following through to the best of his ability with his campaign promises. Most of which are great for America. Biden did as well. Biden promised he would have the most liberal admin ever... He did.... It was awful for America... seeing your tds, I know that even if you didn't vote for biden or kamala, you have worked tirelessly to stop trump from being elected and still cherry pick every little thing trying to put this admin in a bad light. This is my issue with "weak self professed pubs/conservatives, with all the bad crap brought on us during the last 4 years, some of you still can't let go because of your personal dislike of the man. Y'all don't want to see the country do good. All the lot of you care about is being ANTI ANYTHING TRUMP. Fine, if you are really conservative, just shut up for 4 years and stop trying to obstruct all the good being done. If in 4 yrs he has made us worse off I will admit it. I just can't see anything he is doing being worse than the last 4

What is logical about saying a baby conceived and in the womb is not a human baby? You can argue logic but there is no logic in that stance. Its like atheist poo pooing the creation while attributing all that is to a chance explosion that threw everything together - everything from nothing is logic to them.

Ecc. 11:5 = spirit comes to child in the womb
Both Isaiah and Jerimiah mention the Lord knowing and forming us in the womb.

Just don't know how you can call being against early abortions as being illogical.

my reply is of the Eastern Towhee:

make sense of my birdly friends and I'll make sense of you...

Ol Kash neglected to mention the scores of classified documents that Trump had at Mar a Lago. His minions moved them several times to hide the items from the feds(after Trump’s attorney swore they weren’t there in a letter to the Feds.)
He made a valid point. He was going to list of evils perpetrated by mankind since the early 1400’s but made a statement about hypocrisy and keeping it under 35,000,000 words.

Now, saying that, USAID was weaponized to fund the attack on Trump. He must be the most evil man in the US.
