Without debating the failures/successes of Fox or without resorting to “Fox sucks,” I thought that discussion of tonight’s update regarding the FBI probe was pertinent....

Buried in the Schlabach article is the fact that up to three dozen programs may be involved in the FBI’s college basketball investigation.

How might this information affect UGA? What are the consequences of UGA potentially naming a coach who is subsequently implicated in this investigation? Will McGarity use this cloud of uncertainty as a reason for Fox X?

Again, I’m sure that the prevailing thought is “Fox sucks. Fire him and take your chances with anyone else.” I get it. At the same time, this has to be considered, doesn’t it?

I’m not attempting to push an agenda. Please don’t interpret this as me advocating that UGA should keep Fox. More than anything, as a college basketball fan, I’m anxious to see if this will be all smoke or if we could see some real fire. It would be so much fun to see some flames....
