House Republican Rips Anti-Trump Sign Out of Congresswoman’s Hands as Trump Enters Joint Session

Rep. Melanie Stansbury (D-NM) held up a small sign as a protest Tuesday evening as President Donald Trump entered the joint session of Congress until a Republican colleague snatched it from her hands.

Normally I am not a fan of being overly aggressive via a form of physical confrontation but if an idiot congress person (Democrat or Republican ) is holding up a sign in a joint session of congress as the President passes by (This is not normal ) then action should be taken. If MTG would have held up a sign that stated "there goes Dementia Joe," it would have been equally wrong. I don't know Melanie Stansbury or Lance Gooden but glad the latter took action.

To an extent, I disagree. I would have preferred she continued to stand there looking like a mental patient. Of course, everything done by the Dems after Trump started speaking was not normal, so she was correct. She was obviously warning us what they were about to do.

Yeah, I think the last night was more of a if your enemy is destroying themselves, let them scenario. I don't think any of those signs won Dems any votes.

I understand your reasoning and that's fair, specifically your highlighted item. Don't think snatching a sign down is same as touching another person but they are certainly cousins. Glad he snatched it down and didn't touch a body part of her, but as another poster said above, technically is was correct, they are not normal...........
