1. I referenced in a previous post, BB is gone. Unless something happens to convince other mods/staff otherwise, he's lost his last chance. That said, this is not a celebration and not a reason to 'bash' him. If seen, those posts will be removed (i.e. nothing nice to say? please refrain from commenting re: his exit).
2. Although some will 'cheer', it's unfortunate that this board was unable to find an equilibrium. He's absolutely gone due to his own actions...but, there were plenty of violations from his detractors that were both inappropriate and did not help.
3. Why am I making this kind of "announcement" regarding a specific poster? Because he clearly was a polarizing figure and even when he's had multiple 'time outs' before, he was a topic/subject of ridicule. That kind of crap needs to stop (about anybody). The atmosphere here often reaches toxic levels and needed a fresh 'reset'. Posters were 'taking sides', to the detriment of actual constructive debate. I beg everyone here to drop past 'pissing matches' and engage in actual discussion. I'm optimistic at heart...I have hope that's not tested, moving forward.
4. Pro-Fox? Anti-Fox? Just Pro-UGA? None of this matters. The board exists to discuss UGA Basketball. Not to 'cheer-lead'...and especially not to make repetitive negative posts re: Fox. Don't like him as a coach? Great. Make your point a few times...don't repeat it in every thread you participate in. This is difficult when/if he makes the same "mistake" (per your valid opinion) every game. That's fine. It's a gray area, admittedly. But, one that we might 'discuss' if it gets too 'repetitive'. I can't promise we'll come to the same conclusions, every time. But, I am fair.
5. It does NOT exist to dump all your frustrations, all the time, w/o at least attempting to strike a balance. Emotional diarrhea is fun for nobody.
6. Please let this serve as a warning: If the overwhelming majority of your posts are "Fox Sucks", "Fire Fox", "Fox is a Tool", you will be blacklisted for a period of time.
7. The above is certainly true following a victory. However, Criticism is still valid, even in victory. Please understand I'm not saying 'negative posts' are verboten. They are (generally) always valid.
8. UGA loses? Criticize to your heart's content. However, please keep in mind that some posters may still draw 'positive' takes, even in defeat. Just as criticism is valid in victory, support/positive posts are valid in defeat.
9. Bottom Line: It's time to attempt (again) to strike a balance here. Let's celebrate victory, and curse defeat...but, let's not attack others while doing either. Bitching for bitching's sake is approaching a level of silliness. If you receive a warning...it's not personal. If you attack others because you think that only positive posts should be made...you're just as wrong and will be 'dealt with' in the same way.
Here's to hoping for continued success of Fox's Dawgs.
