Really impressed with the character of this team. They continue to battle despite the injuries and the bleakness of the postseason outlook after yesterday.
Since I’ve moved to Memphis, I’ve followed Ole Miss closely...even attended a couple of their games.
Bottom line...we can take the series at home next weekend and slip into a Regional.
Hate that Hoglund tore his UCL, but that was a gigantic loss for them. You’ve got to figure we will have a tough time beating Doug Nikhazy Friday night but the Rebels have very little after him. Outside of their closer Taylor Broadway, their bullpen has been bad all year.
The lead the conference in hitting, but Stricklin and Sean Kenny have done an excellent job putting game plans together all year for this young staff, and I have a feeling they will do so again next week.
