Meal Monday (also known as Oatmeal Monday) was a traditional Holiday observed by the ancient universities of Scotland on the second Monday of February…….Students took this three day weekend to go home and replenish their food supplies, which was usually oatmeal to make porridge back at school, thus the name 'Oatmeal Monday'......Today we take a look at some of the Scottish bonnie lassies whose ancestors observed and partook of Meal Monday……..
