With Trump laying the wreath today it gave me the opportunity to explain the whole guarding process to my young grands. They didn’t really understand but I told them some day they need to visit and watch in order to understand the solemn atmosphere and respect shown for those killed defended our nation. It is one of my favorite places I’ve ever visited.

I’m taking a group of middle school students to DC this Summer & I found out yesterday my group will get to a lay wreath there. Can’t wait to tell them at school Tuesday on how big a honor that will be!
It is indeed a solemn and sacred place. One of the highlights from our trip to DC.
Whenever I'm in D.C., this is my only constant as far as sites go. I see it every time I go.
That and just visiting Arlington National Cemetery. I spent one day visiting there and it was amazing and it made me feel so proud to be an American.
