Trump's tarriffs have caused U.S. import bookings to plummet by 64% in early April, with retailers like Amazon and Nike canceling or pausing orders. The National Retail Federation forecasts a 20% drop in imports in the second half of 2025, signaling potential supply chain disruptions and higher consumer prices.

How many more weeks until Lutnick and Navarro send us over the cliff?

"China is currently marketing through the social media app TikTok and cutting out the middleman by selling directly to American youth at cut-rate prices on products similar to Nike, Lululemon, and Birkenstock. Crazy times.

This breaking news is so worrisome that stocks are way up today, and bond yields are down double digits…..generally the consensus is that we may have weathered the chaos of the last two weeks (which I won’t defend).

I don’t love this tariff policy and really don’t love how it has been rolled out…..but I also believe the panic is way overblown especially because the admin has clearly signaled they aren’t willing to impose a ton of pain here…,and when the market / economy speaks, they will listen. There is a Put.

We all have our own method and style. If it were me, I would immediately announce every successful trade negotiation to alleviate market uncertainty. According to Hassett, there already are some. But I've come to learn that Trump loves a big splash. So evidently he's waiting to announce a large number at one time. So, I'm buying the market.

I don't care for the "shock and awe" approach but it seams to have worked. It appears countries are lining up to get a deal. Countries like Vietnam and Cambodia can profit bigly by replacing items that China has been selling us.

They haven't announced any because there aren't any... all of those calls he was getting "kissing his ass" for a trade deal... lol.

edit.. wow... he actually isn't orange in that picture but looks old AF. Guess he didn't have time to put on his makeup. Funny how you guys worship someone who wears a bunch of orange makeup, all while all fired up about men in women's sports. Granted, I'm not for that either... but still ironic.

Your fixation with everything Trump is a little concerning. Take a break from your computer and get outside. It will do you good.
