Their commentators (Blitzer and Collins) were nothing less than AWFUL and partisan. Folks were tuning in to Watch a dignified Funeral event not another excuse for Trump digs. Its if they have learned NOTHING from last 2 months. Aren't they suppose to be transitioning to non-partisan Network, we'll they are failing again. I flipped it over at turn of hour to Fox and they did a wonderful job (I am a Fox critic other than Hulm and Baer. ) They were very complementary of Carter and drew NO PARTISAN comparisons of any kind. Had some good funny Carter stories and tried to honor him alone.

Political funerals are more boring than watching Thanksgiving macy day parades blocked by college students with green hair protesting the rights of estuary mollusks to assemble peacefully in a marsh
Don't expect a leopard to change its spots. You aren't going to get a genuinely different approach from the same people. Its just marketing. If they were serious, you would see a bunch of new faces delivering the commentary in a more objective fashion.
The left tries to take digs at fox, but they treat any partisan guest ten times better than they do at cnn or msnbc. All those places are getting what they deserve. Their who new movement is on life support. Yet they cling to it. It is dying all over the world. Had to wade thru hilarious coverage of gay men and women arming themselves. Because they are in fear of being put in concentration camps. The irony is the only people feeding this fear are the dumbass networks. It is to the point of the ridiculous. Only Fox brought up that Trump went to Elton John’s wedding. He was the first to approve it over any dem of importance. 🤦♂️
Said that that many folks see Trump and Carter as outsiders, but they were very different. Carter was first to make his taxes assessable and Trump was first one to not disclose them in 20 years. Carter was a man of principal, Trump was not. Went on to make snide remarks about Trump wanting Panama Canal back where Carter wanted to give it back to the Panama people.
Completely inappropriate and bad timing. Honor Carter the man, that is all they had to do. No point throwing shade on Trump or anyone else. Just honor Carter and be non-partisan while you are doing it.
at 3:45 on Tuesday they (CNN) were the only network covering the funeral as they were awaiting the funeral possession down Pennsylvania avenue. I wanted to watch as i have visited with the family and had 10 or so related interactions with Former President Carter. The CNN commentators made numerous snide remarks about Trump and during a commercial break after 4:00 I flipped it to Fox and listned to Brett Bair cover it live. It was NON-Partisan (no snide remarks about Biden or Carter), just covered the casket down Pennsylvania Avenue and talked about his family.
As i have said many times, I'm not a big Trump fan or a big Fox fan. If a hot news item pops I just assume to watch on any cable channel. (Attacks on Israel, funeral of Queen Elizabeth, Russian and related - CNN is normally as good as any in covering these events) CNN needs to root their overt partisan comments out of coverage of these events, its silly and looks awful for their brand.
