If you bothered to listen to the whole thing, he said you won’t have to vote anymore because the country will be fixed when he is done in four years. Vote now and no need later. I will have fixed it all. 🤦♂️
Okay, so I cut and pasted this from the prior discussion.
To get the right context, you would have to watch several minutes before that clip. He talks about Christians' history of being notoriously underrepresented at the ballot box. Then talked about how they could have great impact and influence if they were more assertive with their vote. He promised to give them good reason to get out and vote to protect their rights from the attacks Christianity is now under.
Then calling back to his earlier comments about Christians' reluctance at the ballot box, he joked that if they come out and vote this one time, he won't ask them to do it again. Trump used humor to move from a criticism to a call to action.
Trump has really good political instincts but he's not a politician. He rambles every day and gives dishonest actors soundbites that are somewhat damning. Yeah, I'd rather my leader refrain from talking shat and being on script about 50% of the time but he's not the problem. When you have JOURNOS asking when he's going to condemn Nazis when there are multiple quotes over 3 yrs of Trump disavowing hate groups, Russia, Russia, Russia, bloodbath, Charlottesville repeated over and over and on and on, that's the problem.
