I’m sure he’ll be on a pitch again and only go 2 innings. Still, he threw a lot of pitches Saturday against A&M, started against tech three days later and threw 2 innings, threw 1 2/3 innings two days later in Nashville, and a third of an inning in a game that was getting out of hand two days after that.
I hope that we’re not overusing him... it’s one thing to use a closer or your best reliever three days in a row on a weekend, because you give him four days off before the next weekend. But that’s not what we’re doing here.
Not trying to be negative, I’m just surprised that’s a move we’d make. We need all of our A guys 100% for Kentucky this weekend...
