Jeff Capel(Top level candidate)- Take a similar route we used to get Kirby get the top assistant of the greatest coach the sport of college basketball has ever seen. Capel flamed out at OU due to assistant infractions and taking talented but flawed players but he's fixed his image and is the monster responsible for Dukes recruiting right now. By the way he also has head coaching success at two place OU included. We already know he can recruit and learning from the best has to do nothing but benefit him and I believe Capel's smart enough to not make the same mistake twice. He's another home run hire alongside Hurley, and Crean.
Ron Hunter (Backup level candidate)- Its crazy to think the most successful CBK coach in GA coaches in the sun belt. Ron Hunter wouldnt excite fans on the surface but the man can coach and recruit. On top of that hes built relationships with GA high school coaches already something Hurley and Crean can do but would take time. If he can make the tournament again he would have some momentum. Not a flashy hire but a good backup plan if Crean, Capel, Hurley take there services else where or stay put.
